Recently (well not really recently...) I was given this donation card. Oop wow donation card! I will ask ppl to donate the amount they want .. oh i can't approach the public? Only family and friends? Ok... so I will ask my family and friends to donate the amount they want! Because you see it is charity we can't force ppl to donate now can we?
BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO the 'directive' says the total amount must be at least $12! LAN JIAO! I don't see any 'directive' on the card! I only see a couple pictures of children and a short message of the person who ask us to donate. NO $12! Can this be called charity in the first place? Is like throwing some needy people infront of you and this dangerous looking guy come to you... " Look at them ! So poor thing! So donate $12 now! Don't ask why coz the directive say so.. and you wounldnt want to mess with the directive!" And *poof* he disappeared! Leaving you $12 poorer and wondering wad happened. Later when you go home u will see the guy on TV holding this big cheque giving it to some association.
OMG! They should stop this! They had been doing this since I am a kid! Why like that one ah? Is it becoz they scare the donation gathered very little amount then very MALU (paiseh) to giv to the association? I thought the association suppose to be glad to hav any amount. Sure you can say is to help "motivate" people to ask ppl to donate .. BULL SHIT!!
What if i lost the card? Oh you need to pay $50 .. hmm sounds reasonable.. since the ppl who got hold the card might ask ppl to donate.. then he pocket the money..
And $12 the money you suppose to have .. OK.... since I MIGHT declare the card is lost but actually pocketing the money.. And another $12 for a new card... WTF!? Whats the thing with them and $12???? They siao one i tell you.. the total amount is more than a ticket you get from illegal parking! Wah the more i type the more pek chek... I hope those 'directive' ppl all burn in hell while trying to collect $12.
